| Horizon is the next release for the SME FLIP implementation. The
product will allow you to tie your laptop(or any PC into an 800#
and download your FLIP database files.
The Horizon product will provide other utilities besides the file
transfer capability. Give Sue Taillon a call. Sue is in charge of
deploying the application.(Look her us in ELF)

Horizon (aka Sales Horizon) is a PC-Based computing platform, which
provides mobile computing functionality to Digital's sales force.
The tool has already been released, with V1.1 nearing completion. It
is being developed within the U.S. Sales & Marketing IM&T organization

| To follow-up on what Ken stated in .3
Sales Horizon is a notebook PC productivity platform for sales
people. V1.0 is currently installed in a limited number of sales
notebook PC's, however, V1.1 will be available to the entire U.S.
sales force in the mid-June timeframe (free of charge by ordering
through VTX QPC).
Sales Horizon was designed by sales people for the way they work.
It provides a simple and effective way to access corporate
information in a mobile computing environment. It also provides
productivity tools to support proposal authoring, presentation
delivery and development, and enhancements to popular third party
products such as ACT! and KEAterm.
When known I'll post the exact date of when Sales Horizon will be
orderable through VTX QPC.

I suggest that you do a readers choice mailing to the sales force on
when Horizon is available, that way everyone will see the message and
will be able to digest it. Not everyone surfs notes on a regular basis
so if you post it here it's a hit/miss on who will see it.
Also, are there any plans for us to offer Horizon to customers? I have
one who has seen it (via a demo from one of our account managers here
in Minneapolis) and they are very interested in seeing if they might be
able to Horizon for their own internal sales force in their company. I
need a contact as to who could discuss this with me. Please send mail
my way if you have the name of who can discuss this option with me.
