3106.0. "Leaving Digital..." by RANGER::JCAMPBELL () Wed May 25 1994 01:45

Hi, folks,

After 14 or 18 years, depending on how you count (I left for a few
months in 1979) I am leaving Digital. My last official day is this Friday,
though clearing out 18 years of personal and technical junk (and believe me
the vast majority of it is JUNK) is going to take quite a bit longer than
3 days! (I'll be coming in as a "visitor").

I will miss Digital greatly...not the stress of the last few months,
or the anxiety and worry about the future of the group and the Corporation,
but all the people I have worked with during these years,
all the friends and acquaintences and coworkers and notable noters that
have made lasting and good memories that I'll keep forever (unless I get
Alzheimers...).

I plan to pursue a slightly different career: helping individuals and
organizations succeed, using programs from The Pacific Institute (Investment
In Excellence, Achieving Your Potential, Thought Patterns for Successful
Careers, etc.).

Please feel free to pass this message on to anyone you know who knows
me or knows of me. I haven't maintained an ALL.DIS of everyone I've met or
worked with for the last 18 years; it would take a lot of room on the disk.

						Thanks and regards

Sorry to hear this, especially after finally touching base with you
nine years after I left MRO. Take care, wherever you roam.

    Jon,

I was fortunate to work with you in another life at a company called
First Data, as I recall....or were they called ADP, Network Services by
then (acquisition/merger). In any case, I wish you well in whatever
you do. You are truly one of the "good guys" and any company that is
fortunate enough to exploit your talent will benefit greatly.

Hi, folks,

Jon Campbell can be reached at: [email protected].
I have taken up residence at an Internet access
provider called Pioneer Global Telecommunications
in Boston. The focus of the company is connectivity
and "presence" on the Internet for small and large
businesses in the Boston area.

I hope everyone who this reaches is focused on
two things: PCs and network connectivity. They seem
to be the present and future of computing.

Cheers and regards
Jon Campbell
