3103.4 | could be standard early retirement | WEORG::SCHUTZMAN | Bonnie Randall Schutzman | Tue May 24 1994 14:59 | 6 |
| There's a provision in the standard pension for retiring early on a
reduced pension -- I think it's at 59 or something like that, but I
don't have the paperwork in front of me so don't quote me on it.

3103.5 | SERP and Early Retirement; not the same | CTHQ::COADY | | Tue May 24 1994 15:07 | 4 |
|
Early Retirement and SPECIAL early retirement (SERP) are not the same.
Anyone over a certain age (55 I thought ) and with a certain number of
years service can retire.

We would lose 4% of our predicted pension at age 60 for each year
before that, that we take pension. So, if you go onto pension at age
55, you would lose 20% of your pension that was predicted for you if
you had worked to age 60 with DIGITAL (in Burgundy with round dots!).
Hope that helps.
Malcolm.
