I have just been sent some mail which originated from Dennis Roberson,
apparently he has resigned to go to NCR.
So what effect do people think this will have on software in Digital.
Is this the sign that we are pulling out of software or a sign that
we're changing for the better?

Hasn't Demmer just been put over all non OS software that Roberson
owned? This seems sort of expected.

I am optimistic that Bill Demmer, now responsible for software
engineering, product management & product marketing, will restructure
the business to properly position and promote our own software
products and leadership with those of our software partners. We can't
and won't do everything for everyone, and need to have a truly open
view of software.
