2999.0. "Request for help from the Digital family" by AWECIM::MCMAHON (Living in the owe-zone) Thu Apr 14 1994 18:21

I received this in the mail. I thought it deserved a wider distribution.
I have received permission to post this here from the sender.

If there is a problem with posting this, please let me know, not
    Sharon.

Keith Hauer was a longtime Digital employee who died suddenly in
    February.

SUBJECT: Request for Assistance for Keith Hauer's Family

Early Sunday morning, April 10, a fire spread though Keith Hauer's family's
home. Fortunately, no one was physically hurt. The emotional toll since
Keith's death in February continues to grow for his five children. The
family lost most of their belongings and is in the process of trying to
   locate an apartment.

I have been asked by many SCO employees how to help the family. There is
a trust fund set up for Keith's children to which concerned employees can
   contribute.

Contributions to the trust fund should be sent to:

			Hauer Children's Trust
			c/o Flagship Bank
			4 Mower Street
			Worcester, MA 01602

2999.1Does the Matching Gift Program apply?AIMHI::KERRCaught In The CrossfireFri Apr 15 1994 09:5312

    Pat,

Would this qualify for Digital's matching gift program? That would give
contributions a little extra boost (and before somebody jumps on me,
yes, I know that it's only $.50 on the dollar, not really matching, but
Digital still calls it the matching gift program anyway. However, in
this case I'm sure every extra bit will help).

    Thanks,
    Al
