Is there some way of finding out if we have an Account Rep assigned to
a given company and, if we do, who that person may be? I'm fairly sure
I've seen an answer to this question recently, but I can't seem to find
it.
thanks in advance,
d

VTX CALOOK(Customer and Account LOOKup) will get you a Branch Manager
for the account who can refer you to an account rep.

Calling the local Digital office of the company in question and asking for the customer support person or a manager almost always works. This is especially helpful for companies that are not doing business with Digital currently, but have a rep assigned to a large set of accounts including the one you are seeking information about. re: .1 Thanks! I found some info via that route.
However (re:.2) The account in question is a nation-wide
account, which is active in many separate industries, from
financial services to Oil&Gas transportation and
distribution, with apparently nobody responsible for the
whole thing, just pieces. The sales rep I got in touch with
today was very responsive, even though he found out as a
result of my inquiry that he was responsible at least in part
for this account. To complicate matters further, we are
pursuing this opportunity as a subcontractor to (get this)
Andersen Consulting, who is actually considered to be the
real customer. I am simply trying to make sure that the rep
for the end-user account is aware of what we are up to, so he
(they???) won't get any unwelcome surprises about activity
within the account
We'll see what happens...
