I am looking for contacts for the following certification program: Digital Business Partner University Program o Sales Professional o System Sales Engineer o System Sales Consultant o Executive System Sales Consultants Also, if anyone knows of any other Digital certification programs, could you post a response here? (I am not looking for Novell, Microsoft, or any other third party certification programs, just Digital's programs.) Thanks, Bo

inception and completed it. I wonder if it came and went?

Someone can correct me, but I believe that funding has been removed
from the PATHWORKS certification program. What this means (IMO), is
that the existing certification program is still operational, but there
are no plans to upgrade the tests to V5 or add an advanced
certification program.

You can still contact Drake and take the test. Put I don't think
that Digital is doing any tracking on who is certified.

Several months ago I was invited to present a seminar on Pathworks
Certification in DECUS next month. I, too, had enrolled via PWCERT and
even took the DRAKE test months ago... I teach pathworks at Parker
Street, and felt it would be nice to have a certification.
However, the certification program is NOT funded... there is nothing to
say at DECUS, and in spite of a LOT of customer enthusiasm as well as
internal enthusiasm, funding for ANY certification program is doubtful,
though there are still a few folks working the issue. Needless to say,
the DECUS seminar was canecelled... about two weeks ago.
There is a HUGH push within DEC to get its employees certified...
Novell, Microsoft, Banyan, etc... but, evidently management does not
perceive the need for Pathworks Certification... Actually, that's not
true... it's just that no one of them is willing to foot the cost,
since there is no *revenue* generated directly.
It's right in line with removing all the PC's from the desks of the
instructors who TEACH client/server stuff. After all, we don't really
NEED to be users, we just need to TALK about it. And all those PC's
were expensive... and we can make the bottom line look blacker by
dumping them.
