Having an Open House for Employees & families during a time of
cost cutting measures and active re-structuring of the company
worldwide which is resulting in many Digital workers to be laid
off seems to be pushing the envelope a tad.
But if your location has been uneffected by this I wish you the best.

At least your questioning the wisdom of this.
I had mixed feelings when Canobie Lake was cancelled.
It's a day for us to enjoy with our families and co-workers.
But under these tight and unsecure times I agree with the
decision to cut it. Not so much from a cost perspective but
from an emotional one. I really couldn't enjoy the day with
my family and co-workers knowing that all of us are striving
to turn our company around to profitabilty and espicially
stability.
Seems like having an open house before this goal is accomplished
is at best a poor timing selection,
