| Does anybody know how the TNSG numbers break down between the various
sub organizations?

Try Bob Cohen or Orson Niederhauser

Does it matter? The subgroups seem to be hiring as they downsize.
Of the engineers I know personally who were notified of being
in jeopardy, 75% got other jobs in Digital.
(This is not TNSG-only, by any means.)

| Yesterday our (NaC) personnel folks discussed all this. Apparently some groups
in TNSG (and presumably elsewhere) where allowed to hire during this period.
But the net loss was still supposed to be 950 or so.

| Well, now that it's history, does anybody know, or has anybody seen,
what the actual numbers were?
Personally, I would take some small comfort in knowing that engineering
was able to perform this task successfully.

2234.6 | Feb. 14 - St Valentines Day | DBSALF::QUINN | Crying? There's no crying in baseball! | Fri Jan 08 1993 13:56 | 10 |
| Well, as the old saying goes, "It aint over til it's over"
I heard a rumor the other day of a St Valentines Day Massacre of about
16,000 people. And knowing we don't have quite that many VP's (it only
seems like we do), I don't know how they can avoid not touching
engineering again.
I know the 14th is a Sunday, so we'll celbrate on the 15th :-(
