1613.0. "Ever use the Digital private Fenway box?" by TLE::ROBINSON (Bill, EVE/TPU) Fri Sep 27 1991 14:32

I'd like to suggest that our upper management share the private
box at Fenway Park with those of us not so high up on the chain.
Problem is, to whom do I give my suggestion?

I figure there are now fewer VPs who get free use of the box,
so why don't they share it with us? Deciding who gets the 1
lucky day at Fenway could best be done by a raffle.
(I hereby submit my name into the box :-)

I know several people who have used the box. They're anything BUT
high level. I'm not sure how they were picked and they weren't too sure
    themselves.

I think though I might be wrong that the box in Fenway is 'owned' by the
local dec office in Boston. This is like many of the other local offices that
have boxes at various stadiums for CUSTOMER visits.

The corporate customer visits group might also have something. But I don't
think that DEC Corporate has a box.

Here in Dallas, Digital has some season tickets to the Texas Rangers. Extra
tickets are sometimes available. However, the employess must buy them at face
value.

I think there is some way to reserve seats in Digital's Fenway Skybox,
specifically for customer, I believe. I was lucky enough to be invited to
attend a Red Sox game by my Corporate Account Manager. It was quite a
memorable experience.

The box at Fenway is "owned" by (I think) four groups, of which the Northeast
Region is one. The other groups are corporate based. The box is managed by a
group in the NE Region, but only to give out the tickets. To get them you
usually need to have a customer, but exceptions are made. These exceptions
happen most often when the tickets will go un-used and you know about them
only at the last minute.

    exactly.

last year, a couple of unused tickets showed up at our facility. i was
given one by one of the local managers, and enjoyed the game very much.
i also enjoyed mixing with the customers there, the sales reps, and
    eating some of the goodies.

it was a nice perk (temporary as it was)

I was given tickets in "89" to "one" of Digital's boxes. There were
some LOGISTICS guys there visiting from their own luxury box. The one
I was in was leased by US Area Manufacturing. Had a great time. Food
was provided. The Sox got killed though...
