| If the Computer Images group is part of Media Communications, then they
are indeed no longer with DEC. Some of the Media Communications group
went to an independent contracting firm, based in Andover, MA. DEC is
the primary client of this new firm.
I don't know names or numbers. Perhaps someone else can fill in the
blanks.

| MCG left here to be organized as Impact Communications and
has since changed their name to Quantic. I don't know if
Computer Images was one of the parts of MCG that moved over.
Quantic is located in Andover, MA - in the old DEC ACT.

| Try your Purchasing Dept. A memo was distributed to each Purchasing
group identifying what was left, & who to contact, etc. Or that's how
it was supposed to work 8^)

| One thing they did was give each person in the old Computer Images group
a complete listing of what happened to each person in the group so if you
want to contact any specific person in the old group, you can contact anyone
from the old group and they can tell you how to reach that person whom you're
looking for.
The only person I knew from that group, Kathryn MacDonald, can be reached at
her new office at 508-667-2697 in Billerica.

| You can also call Cathy Serie, in MKO at 264-5448. She is a liason
between Quantic and all of us who used to use MCG.
MCG and Computer Images has been sadly missed!!

| This is information one of our staff received on how to obtain services
that we used to get from MCG.
The process is:
1. Complete an Internal Purchase Requistition (IPR).
Include the specific services you want performed and an
estimated cost for each service.
There is a space on the form to specify a recommended supplier
(vendor). The vendor should be on the approved vendor list.
(you will have to get this list).
2. Obtain the necessary signatures on the IPR. At a minimum this
will probably be a cost center manager and financial analyst.
3. Send the IPR to Purchasing.
We were told that you can talk to vendors on the approved
list about potential work, BUT MAKE NO COMMITMENTS. It seems as
though Purchasing controls all.
The MCG spin-off company is called Quantic Communications.
If you run into problems using the process, you can contact Norma
Frye. Her current DTN is 287-3574, but she is moving to MRO
soon.

| Another contact:
Roberta Stratton's husband, Jim Stratton went with MCG.
Roberta still works for DEC and can be found in ELF or the DTN
book.
