Why is note 1303 HIDDEN????? All it did was let people know how to
send season's greeting cards to our troups.

    What's the Problem???

By the way: they're not "our" troops.

I also have a problem with that note being set hidden. I happen to
know what the value of mail is since I spent 14 months in 'Nam and
there was one period when almost 2 weeks went by without me receiving
any mail it about drove me nuts. I figured that everyone at home
    had forgotten about me.

I can tolerate that this company fails to acknowledge the price paid by
AMERICAN VETS, who kept this country free, with a holiday. Let's just
consider that to be an oversight. Freedom allows capitalism to flourish
     - and that be us, DEC. But to actively shut-down a note which merely
provides an address in order that "our" future Vets recieve a simple
Christmas rememberence, I will not tolerate, Mr. Stratton.

Stand by and get you ready.

RE: .3 Believe it or not not everyone who reads this file is from
the US. Andy, reply .1 & .2 is British. No one posted an address to
	send mail to British forces.

Note 1303 was set hidden pending moderator discussion of complaints
    that were received about it.

Note 1183, posted months ago, already contained armed services mailing
    information.

Note 1303 has now been moved as replies to note 1183 (in an attempt to keep
    this information in one place)

See note 1183.last for the complete details.

So, rather than griping about them not being "our" forces, why not post the
addresses for other countries' forces?
1307.9Practice what we preachCSOMKT::MCMAHONCarolyn McMahonTue Dec 11 1990 07:5012
How about it? Let's see those addresses for sending mail to ANY of OUR
(see Boyan's reply) troups. I'm more than willing to bolster any of
OUR troups - not matter to which flag they hail.

Come on Europe! We can't be one company for some purposes and separate
companies for others. Can't have it both ways! Believe me, most of
those of us who hail the U.S. flag are also well aware of those from
other nations that are also away from home during this holiday season.

If you supply the addresses, you'll give us a chance to support troups
from other nations. Don't know of any law that says that cards from
residents of other nations won't be welcomed by U.S. troups either.
