SMOKING IN OFFICES AT DEC IN SWITZERLAND! I would love to know what the directions are frm USA to Switzerland regarding the smoking policy. I know in the USA there is no smoking, in Switzerland however, the problem, for Non-Smoker that have to breath the smoke, still exists. There are several people that would like to change this policy. How do we get the guidance? Thanks for all input and help. Ruth

Ruth, I wouldn't rely too much on the "USA to Switzerland" route to achieve anything. These days subsidiaries are rather autonomous, (especially if they make/exceed their sales goals!). I'd try local solutions first: (in order of priority) 1- Your immediate environment (smoking collegues) 2- Your management 3- Worker's council or the like (Is there any in Switzerland ?) /fred |
