    I received today, a rather confused article about a promotion of
    a senior VP. It had been extensively forwarded and each recipient
    had referred to the name of the senior VP as Jack Smith.
    
    The article itself was an extract from Electronic News p12 5/7/90
    issue, which referred to the VP as John Smith. It also made reference
    (wrongly) to 'Shields'. 
    
    The article was made available via a DEC publication called CIM
    Microtech Bulletins.
    
    What I would like to know is, is John/Jack Smith is really now
    'Senior VP for Operations'? 
    
    If so, is it John or Jack?
    
    If so, did this appear in LIVEWIRE (I did not see it)?
