| This is another name for the "Career Opportunity Days" program that was
held in Marborough in August. Other notes in this conference have
covered that event.

933.2 | Is there a name with that listing? | CVG::THOMPSON | My friends call me Alfred | Tue Sep 26 1989 15:01 | 8 |
| FYI, This is also being discussed in OASS::JOBS topic 3534.
Isn't there usually a contact name associated with entries in the
VTX Jobs listing? I would assume that that person could be contacted
and asked about this. Perhaps a silly suggestion but that's what
I'd try.

933.3 | just call the recruiter | IAMOK::KOSKI | Uncomfortably Numb | Thu Sep 28 1989 11:45 | 11 |
| Alfred,
The contact person for the VTX Jobs listing has nothing to do with the
content of the posted jobs. The best person to ask about any given
posting would be the recruiter listed on the req.
BTW, the moderator in the JOBS note requested that the discussion on
this issue stop as he believes is is going on here...

RE: .0
It means that people from the northeast have preferance over the
people down south. Someone in our organization is trying to get
into one of the positions available in Atlanta and was told by
the manager that 10 people are interviewing for 6 jobs. 8 of the
interviewees are from the Northeast and 2 of them from the south.
Wonder what the chances are for the 2 from the south getting any
of the jobs?
