| I don't think it makes much difference. They all follow the same
cookbook, and if you got a really high appraisal out of one of them,
it would be thrown out anyhow. I've been through several relocations,
and here's what I would predict.
- Expect to get less than what you think it is worth.
- The market is not all that good.
- The condo market really stinks.
- Real estate appraisors have been under heavy industry pressure
for the past couple years to err on the side of the company that hired
them. There were a lot of abuses in the system.
- No amount of appealing seems to help.
Remember, you don't have to pay any fees, so that really helps.

| Jane, there are already several topics in this conference on
relocation. Please look for and read them. Since your question
is mostly about how your personal relocation impacts you, it
is not really an appropriate topic for this conference. You
might also find information on the questions you ask in two
other conferences: TALLIS::REAL_ESTATE and LYCEUM::CONSUMER.
People wishing to share information on the specific businesses
mentioned in the topic note are welcome to do so via MAIL to
the author.
Thanks!
