the old data general building in hooksett, n.h.?
i heard something about a 1 yr. lease with the option
    	to buy.

Generally speaking, such a topic is inappropriate for discussion
in an unrestricted conference such as this. While I'm sure you
would not use the information to engage in real estate market
        speculation, someone else might.

If you have a legitimate business reason to need information about
Digital's plans in the area of real estate and construction, you
should contact the "Property Development" or "Property Management"
group in KNX. There are about a dozen functional listings in the
Digital Telephone Directory, including one for "Real Estate
        Planning" at DTN 279-3039.

If you don't have a legitimate business reason to know, I suspect
you won't get very far until AFTER the deal has been signed and
announced in publications of record (e.g., newspapers).

    	uh-oh.... bucket of worms.

the reason i posted the note was to find out which groups
might be occupying the building...job prospects for me, as its very
close to home. i hadn't thought of any negative repercussions,
or i'd have thought twice against entering the note.

thank you, tom, for pointing the lack of *beyond the immediate
    	moment* flaw in my thinking.

708.3It rarely hurts to ask..DR::BLINNAvoid Career Limiting DecisionsFri Jan 27 1989 16:4411
No problem, Denise. I suspected that might be why you wanted
to know, from your note. Try checking up with the Real Estate
Management people; they may be willing to give you information,
depending on how far along they are, if in fact there's going
        to be a facility there.

There are no inappropriate questions (other than the ones that
are asked just to divulge information that should not be given
away). Sometimes there are inappropriate answers.

        Tom
