Anybody see the latest, long-awaited (3 yrs) Steve Jobs' creation announced yesterday in San Francisco..... His latest SUPER DUPER personal computer from his new company NeXT ?? What I saw on the TV news, the monitor looked very Real-time animation (like tv) and very VERY high resolution... What he pulled out of his neat little carrying case for the big show and audience was what almost looks like the MACintosh on the outside (I wonder where he got the idea)... But I guess the insides and how super fast it is - it's a totally new ballgame for pc's now .... Oh YEHH .... Price mentioned was .... ~ $6500 I think I heard. Anybody Know more or have any comments... How do you think this latest (commodity?) pc will look for Digital in the face of our recently announced deal with reselling Tandy personal pc's (ughh) ???

I presume that there is already a discussion of this (and most of the rest of our competitors) in ASIMOV::MARKETING... | |||||

This is being actively discussed in ASIMOV::MARKETING, see topic 576 for example. Since this doesn't relate in any obvious way to "The Digital Way of Working", please direct further discussions to MARKETING. Tom |
