--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am familiar with the Digital European Mission which is:

"To provide our customers with quality
    	 Information Systems, Products and Services",

however, I am unaware of the Corporate Mission and Objectives.

    Can anyone enlighten me?

    Peter

Taken from a synopsis of Gil from 1984....

Gil Fair has worked for Digital for the past fifteen years and held
positions in various departments throughout the company. His longevity
and wide range of experience makes him uniquely qualified to provide a
first hand look at DEC, its mission and history.
	.
	.
	.
As of 1984, he held 8 different high level positions, participated in many
committees and acted as a consultant in various capacities. He co-founded
the DIS Programmer Trainee Program, and consulted in numerous projects, and
programs in management, organizations development, and technical training.
He also co-authored the original study that developed the concept of the
Business Systems Analyst role at DEC.

When Gil is not working at DEC, he is teaching at Boston University.

619.3Not the Gil Fair @REO, then?DR::BLINNMind if we call you Bruce?Tue Sep 20 1988 11:589
Perhaps it is the same Gil Fair that ELF says is working over
in Reading in IOSG, in which case he's probably not teaching
at Boston University in his spare time.

I've extracted this topic and mailed it to Gil to ask him if he
really said that. I know the Gil in IOSG and know that he's been
around Digital forever. I had no idea that he taught at BU but
he's strange enough to have done so.

I'm still a bit miffed at him for not sharing his wine with me last
week but he's still a good guy in my book for what it's worth.

    Keep the faith(s),
