Having just past my first year with DIGITAL my manager has given me a binder to store information such as commendations, reviews, training, and resumes. I thought for a moment and realized that I have no idea if there exists a "typical DIGITAL" resume. I pulled my resume out from when I hired on and find it stressing things such as "I have worked on DEC VAX 11/XXX and know VMS....etc." Now that I'm with DEC, I look at knowing these things as important but there are a thousand other people who can claim the same thing. Can anyone give me a hint as to what would make a good resume a GREAT resume within DIGITAL? Thanks and regards, Also posted in KNOVAX::CAREER.NOTE Keith R>

A bit of an update: The BROKE::CAREER conference has several notes on resumes (#s 23, 90, and 128). Also a fairly recent one (#186) on cover letters. Press the SELECT key or KP7 to add CAREER to your notebook. - Chuck (CAREER co-moderator) |
