520.1 | Use TLE::EASYNET_CONFERENCES for conference announcements | LSTARK::THOMPSON | Question reality | Mon May 02 1988 14:02 | 9 |
| HUMAN::DIGITAL is probably not a very good place to announce that
conference. Actually announcing conferences is pretty much not in
the charter for this conference. There is a conference for announcing
conferences. That is TLE::EASYNET_CONFERENCES. If you are interested
in a lot of people knowing about your conference you should announce
it there.

co-moderator of HUMAN::DIGITAL and TLE::EASYNET_CONFERENCES

520.2 | Good intentions | CSOA1::ROTH | East Central Area Networks | Thu May 05 1988 23:23 | 13 |
| The reason I posted this here was that I felt that the participants of the
Digital conference may have some valuable contributions to the conference
mentioned in the root note, especially in view of some of the discussion that
occured in note 453.*.
Indeed, this file is *NOT* a standard place for announcing conferences.
Lee
BTW- I secured permission to mention the file here but I didn't ask about
posting in EASYNET_CONFERENCES. I will re-check with them and suggest that if
they want 'maximum' exposure for their conference that they should announce it
there.

| [Before I posted .0 I read the introductory note. The verbage in the first
sentence led me to believe that it was within reason to post the announcement
in this conference. Lee.]
