Well people do ask about rumors here from time to time. You should supply a little more information though. For example, what is a support Eng. II? Is that a SWS job? A SASE or COG job? CSSE perhaps? Also where did you hear this? If it effects you and you didn't hear about it from your boss then you should talk to them ASAP. If you heard it from your boss and they're not sure then it's their job to find out. A related question to ask is if this is related to JEC? Lots of job titles will be changed because of JEC. This may be one of them. Again talk to your boss if it impacts you. Alfred

You mean T8S? Yea, I heard the rumor too. (from a T7S). It all means nothing however until the JEC stuff is done. Many jobs may merge/dissapear. Also ranges are up in the air- your new range could go up, down or stay the same. Lee (Not FS now, but used to be.)
492.4 | support eng. II = T7S | NEWVAX::FILER | Thu Mar 17 1988 10:59 | 9
Support eng. II = T7S The pay scale starts near the middle of the T5F range but the T7s doesn't get overtime. It is not the worlds greatest job.(btw i am a t7s) I think this rumor comes from the ny-nj area where they have lots of t8s and t9s engs. As I heard the storie they found that the T7S level engs. were not very affective in resolving calls so they sent them from the area down to the districts. Maybe someone in the ny. nj. area can fill us in with the "facts". Jeff Filer MAA product support |
