I've been trying for a couple of weeks to get this question
answered, so I thought I might try here. If this is out of place
please direct me as to where I should go and delete this note.
When entering into a third party agreement with a home purchasing
company and the 3rd party offer is accepted:
1. If the employee's home is sold for more than the offer that is
accepted from the relocation company, does the employee receive
that amount in excess of the offer? The 3rd party company says that
they return any money over the offer money paid to the employee
to DEC. Does DEC keep it or pass it on to the employee? It would
be nice to hear from any internal transfers who have been through
this routine.
2. DEC is now using Merrill-Lynch Relocation for those of you who
are keeping abreast of these items. I have found them to be very
good to this point. I don't know what others are being used.
Thanks for any information.

Yes, the money ends up with you, although I'm not sure of the route
it takes. This has been discussed (and happily completed) by many
in the REAL ESTATE notes file.
