470.0. "Relocation??" by USWRSL::PEIRCEPA () Tue Feb 23 1988 21:37

    What is the current status of internal transfers, that involve
    relocation benefits during this hiring freeze? Are relocation
    benefits being offered?

470.1"it depends"SCOTCH::FUSCIDEC has it (on backorder) NOW!Wed Feb 24 1988 00:5810
There's no one answer to this question. If it's not otherwise mentioned,
I'd ask.

If you're asking if there's a coroporate ban on hiring internal folks who'd
need to be relocated, the answer is "no".

However, departments are certainly free to decide that they can't afford to
relocate for certain positions, and to make offers based on this.
