    In the Queens' Birthday Honours List announced a couple of days
    ago, 
    
    Geoff Shingles, who is Digital UK Managing Director,
    
    recieved the CBE - Commander of the British Empire.
    
    As gongs go, it's a pretty good one.
    
    
    I wonder if Ken is upset he hasn't got one?
    
    When do we all get the invite to Buckingham Palace for the 
    presentation?

	As many of you already know, Geoff Shingles has been awarded the 
	considerable honour of being appointed a Commander of the British 
	Empire (CBE) by the Queeen.  He will shortly be going to the Palace to 
	receive his Honour in person.
	
	The CBE is the highest award of the trio MBE, OBE, CBE, and reflects 
	the growing awareness and recognition that DEC is gaining in the UK.
	
	Geoff himself says:  "Obviously I am delighted to have received this 
	honour personally, but especially as it is a significant award for 
	Digital.  It recognises our contribution to the industry and the 
	community at large - particularly in the areas of investment and 
	employment opportunities as well as sponsorship of the arts.
	
	I am happy to accept this honour on behalf of everybody at Digital".
	
	Geoff would also like to thank everybody who has sent their best 
	wishes and congratulations.
