Suppose you have a friend or relative who has a small business and who is interested in contacting a department at DEC to see whether they'd be interested in a product or service offered by the person's business. Is it kosher to give your friend/relative addresses and phone numbers of departments that seem appropriate for the service or product? I assume you would get these addresses and phone numbers from the company phone book, which is clearly marked "Company Confidential" and "Internal Use Only." The product/service offered by the friend or relative has nothing to do with computers. In addition to the question about kosherness (?), is DEC even likely to respond to such a solicitation? (i.e. how much hope of success would the friend/relative have?) -- Nina

Digital publishes a small guide to selling to DEC. You might just want to get your hands on that. It includes contact names and numbers. --- Neal

Why not contact the department yourself and find out either if they'd be interested or if they'd mind if you gave out the information? - David
