In last Sunday's Boston Globe there was an ad for "manufacturing professionals" in DEC's Small Systems Mfg. Group. The mailing ad- dress for resumes is CFO2 (West Concord, MA) but I don't think the jobs are located there. There is no statement on where the jobs are located. The four jobs are Value Eng. Mgr., Competitive Analysis Mgr., Surface Mount Technologist, and Test Systems Technologist. Where is the Small Systems Mfg. Group located? I'm just curious, and also concerned about the fact that outside people have to apply for these jobs without knowing where they are located. Of course an outside person can get CFO's main number from Directory Assist- ance and call the personnel office to get more info, but they could run up a sizable phone bill doing this because there is no recruit- er's name in the ad.

After I wrote the note, I looked it up in the DEC phone book and found that it is (or was two months ago) located at LJO (Littleton). If the group is moving in the near future, maybe that's why they didn't mention the location in the ad. | |||||

Small systems Manufacturing GROUP is in Littleton as previously
stated. However, some of those jobs that you were talking about
are in other sections of small systems manufacturing. ALL of
Westfield, Mass is SSM. Parts of the mill are SSM. They are spread
out throught the Maynard/Marlboro area.
Most of those positions are PROBABLY for WFO (Westfield), as I just
came from there, and know that they were finally given permission
to go outside the corporation for hiring.

I believe that Boston (BOO) and Phoenix (PNO) are also Small Systems
Manufacturing Plants.
