From the cover memo of the personnel policy manual update:

  "This Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual, developed for managers and
  supervisors and people in the Personnel Department, is intended to provide
  a policy and administrative framework for Digital's personnel program.  Any
  employee may order a Personnel Manual and/or updates and all Digital 
  employees should have access to the Personnel Policies and Procedures 
  Manual.  However, information contained in the manual should not be released
  to any individual or organization outside of the Company."

Hard copies of the manual will still be offered. To access the manual, type "VTX ORANGEBOOK" at the dollar sign ($) prompt. The main menu will provide directions to specific policies, i.e., benefits, compensation, employee relations, employment, relocation and travel, security, and new/revised policies. Updates to the on-line manual will appear simultaneously with the hard copy updates. Contact your local systems manager if you have any questions or problems accessing the manual.
