Hi all, Does anyone know about DEC project references applying KBS technology to regulation applications? We are currently working on a proposal for L'OREAL (cosmetic products). The functionnality the customer wants to implement looks like the following : - ensure that a given product, defined by a combination of primary products, defined themselves as a mix of chemical components, matches with CEE and US regulation - if not propose alternative product & components combinations - allow user parametrization of regulation rules. Any idea? -- Stphane --

Joe, Have the cosmetic experts any idea of some reference application, either in the same industry domain, or for a similar In fact, l'Oral problem is very close to a "simple configuration" problem : search in some kind of decomposition structure, and evaluation of restriction rules, some of which must be user-parametrized. We are in a presales phase. The competition (software house) offers an on-the-shelf application which can be parametrized, but not enough open to integrate inside customer's environment. We can win if we show references, so that the customer will be confident to what appears to him as "from scratch coding" (opposed to a "ready made" application. Any help would be appreciated, -- Stphane -- Btw, Happy New Year! |
