403.0. "PROLOG (end) user interface" by KETJE::VANDEVYVER (I've been in the desert on a node with no name...) Thu Jan 09 1992 11:34

Hi,

a local software house needs to use Prolog for a customer project.
The solution has to run on a VMS workstation.
The question we have is about the support for the user interface:

Does Prolog (Quintus?) has support for Motif (or decwindows)
or is call-out needed to build an interface?

Any info very much appreciated

Luc

ps. B.t.w the Prolog notes file on yippee:: seems to be gone?

Luc,
Contact Serge Himbaut for the latest version of PROLOG II+ with
	built in Motif widgets.

Ref Prolog conf on yippee, it is still there, we are just
re-organising our cluster, but it should now be accessible.

Joe.

FYI IF/Prolog in Munich have a version with Motif support, I believe, but I'm
not sure if they have it in the VMS release.

Hello.

Quintus Prolog Release 3.1 (VAX/VMS) released in December 1991 does
have a X-window interface (Motif).
It also has the development environment on the window system, too.

As far as I have tested it, it has some trouble in spawning from Prolog to
VMS when it is run on a VT terminal and the display is set to
a workstation display. Quintus said it will be fixed in the next release.

I hope this info would help.
