365.1BAMBI helps British AirwaysCHEVIE::FITZGIBBONJoe Fitzgibbon, Valbonne EICTue Aug 27 1991 17:4811
BAMBI is (not Walt Disney's character) a general purpose intelligent front end
to an MVS batch system. The front end runs on IBM PS/2 using Gresham Computing's
 CONNEX software to link PC and mainframe. It was developed to provide British
Airways Speedwing Fares operation with an easy means of driving the fares
updating process on MVS. Written in LPA's Prolog and HCI Toolkit, BAMBI V.2
is being jointly marketed by BA and Gresham Telecomputing plc as a, in principle,
general purpose front end to MVS Batch processes

In order to better come to terms with the japanese motor industry design
 cycle of 3 years for a new car, compared to the 5 years for most European
Mf's, Renault is pinning it's hopes on ARCHIX, an ES built using the ILOG SMECI
product.
