BIKIT (Babbage Institute for Knowledge and Information Technology) is a spin-off of the University of Ghent in Belgium They're organising a visit to the MIT next november, and want to take the opportunity to visit other interesting companies which are involved in development and use of knowledge-based applications. Proposed are : Arthur D. Little Bachma Goldhill Data General. They've asked us if we could organise a visit to a Digital site where development and/or research in the AI-domain is going on. My question to you : - Which site could be appropriate (close to MIT) - What is going on there - Who do I contact. Thanks for any input, Luc

I suggest CRL, the Cambridge Research Lab. They are near MIT (and some good restaurants!) and do various kinds of research and de- velopment work, including human interface, retrieval, etc. They're closely affiliated with DEC. I don't have contact information right at hand, but I'll get it in the next day or two and post it here. Mark | |||||

To arrange a visit to CRL, which is part of Digital, contact the director, Dr. Victor Vyssotsky (secretary: Susan Catan) at DTN 259-6602 or [1]-(617) 621-6602. Mark |
