	Hey Art!~

I spent a day at CGI last week and they showed me some work they've
done integrating Neural Nets and Expert Systems. Their test system uses a
SW based NN to detect fualt patterns in fan(typical house fan) engine
vibrations and sends the output to Testbench for diagnosis and recommendations.

The whole thing runs on a PC. CGI then showed me their SMP (typical
scheduling system for maintainence of railraod engines).

I immediately thought of the process control application you told me
about where the maintanence guys go and feel the pumps to determine when they
need to be serviced. I figured one might combine the NN/ES vibration anaylsis
system with the SMP scheduler for a nifty solution.

Anyway, CGI is looking for "real" applications to try the technology
out on. Can I have Gail Koerner give you a call?

/Dino
