             ANNOUNCING DEC ADA FOR RISC/ULTRIX FIELD TEST

             *********************************************


We are interested in gathering interested internal and external sites
worldwide for the DEC Ada for RISC/ULTRIX field test to begin late March 1991.

DEC Ada for RISC/ULTRIX is a validated implementation of ANSI/MIL-STD-1815A-1983,
hosted and targeted for Digital RISC/ULTRIX systems. Based on the VAX Ada
front end, it is conceptually and functionally equivalent to VAX Ada, although 
its design has been aggressively modified to meet the styles, conventions and 
aesthetics of the ULTRIX user. The utilization of both mature, proven 
technologies such as VAX Ada and new technologies, such as CMA and our new
state-of-the-art code generator, creates a strong foundation for DEC Ada to
evolve into the leadership role in the UNIX/Ada market in terms of reliability,
functional richness, high performance, and production-quality.
