	Diagnostic Knowledge-Based Systems (DxKBS):
    	-------------------------------------------

	  Tools/shells/products AND applications are all over the place.
	Examples are performing communications network troubleshooting,
	VAX/VMS crash dump analysis, fault diagnosis within manufacturing
	and process control domains, etc., etc. Call them diagnostic
	"Expert Systems" or "Knowledge-Based Systems" or "Artificial
	Intelligence" -- we use them within Digital, and our customers
	use them... more and more.

	  This notesfile is both for people who ARE now working with
	(developing, researching, using) Diagnostic KBS -- AND -- for
	people who are NOT but want to see if the technology has anything
	to offer in their domain.

	  This notesfile is to help us all 'compare notes' and/or learn about
	the range DIAGNOSTIC problems and knowledge-based approaches to solving
	them. If you have experience with a tool, application or technique
	you've developed or used... SHARE IT!  If you have questions about
	how, when, where or what to use... ASK THEM!

	   This conference is NOT associated with any particular product
	or marketing or engineering group's focus. Questions, answers and
	opinions from all over the corporation are encouraged!!
