	VAX LISP V3.0A tapes mistakenly sent out with no cover letter!

On December 19th, the SSB sent out VAX LISP/VMS V3.0A tapes to all 
customers who've received VAX LISP/VMS V3.0.  V3.0A includes several fixes
(see below) to bugs in V3.0.  Unfortunately, the SSB forgot to include
explanation letters in the V3.0A packages.  Several customers have
called their sales representatives to find out why they were sent these
mysterious VAX LISP tapes!  So, please refer to the attached cover letter 
in case you get any VAX LISP/VMS V3.0A questions from confused customers.

   	* THE ENCLOSED VAX LISP V3.0A MEDIA		   *

Software Distribution Center.  VAX LISP Engineering requests that you
install the enclosed VAX LISP/VMS V3.0A kit instead.

  VAX LISP Engineering encourages you to use the VAX LISP/VMS V3.0A software
in place of the VAX LISP/VMS V3.0 software for the following reasons:

o   VAX LISP/VMS V3.0 memory management has an endless control stack overflow 
    problem.  This error has been corrected in the VAX LISP/VMS V3.0A kit.

o   The installation procedure fails when users elect to install the
    Examples Directory from the VAX LISP/VMS V3.0 9trk tape kit.  The
    VAX LISP/VMS V3.0A 9trk tape kit contains the correction to this error.

If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact your
Digital Service or Sales Representative.
