ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SEMINAR
INTELLIGENT INTEGRATED INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Seminar Purpose
The purpose of this seminar is to demonstrate how AI Technology in
general and Knowledge-Based Systems in particular enhance the
functionalities of products and services typically found in Information
Services departments. Among technology areas potentially benefiting
from integrated AI features are Computer-Aided Software Engineering
(CASE), Database Design and Management, System and Network Management.
The seminar will also present how Digital is evolving its AI strategy
to meet market needs to integrate knowledge-based systems into
mainstream computing environments. Over ten years of experience in
making actual use of AI Technology both internally and with customers,
have taught Digital some basic lessons about its real added value. It
is that experience that Digital wishes to share with customers during
the seminar.
Seminar Objective
Upon completion of this seminar, customers will have been exposed to a
variety of computing domains with integrated or embedded AI components.
This will help them better position the potential role of AI Technology
in today's requirements for integrated, open and manageable information
systems.
Through specific examples of products, applications and services
offered by Digital and using AI Technology, customers will gain a
better understanding of the benefits of using knowledge-based systems,
not only as an end-use, but also as a enabling computing technology.
Audience
This seminar is aimed at people who are technology decision-makers,
influencers or advisers, for example MIS/DP Managers, Technology
Consultants, Technology Watchers and Senior Engineers. As there will
not be a general presentation on AI Technology, a basic understanding
of AI is required to fully benefit from the seminar. This seminar is
aimed at customers from all industry segments, who are looking at ways
to improve efficiency in their IS operations through the use of
advanced computing technologies.
Seminar Format
General lectures and demonstrations will be given during this seminar.
Experienced AI consultants from the European Information Technology ACT
(Application Center for Technology) will be delivering the sessions and
demonstrations.
