This is the actual announcement brochure. The statements by Patrick Peres
are excellent and very supportive of Digital's strategies. The low cost of 
Nexpert and the performance of the DECstation 3100 will give Digital and Neuron
Data unprecedented price/performance with an expert systems tool !

	AI Marketing is working with the Software Products group for a Q4

        NEURON DATA ANNOUNCES IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY OF NEXPERT OBJECT
          ON DECstation 3100, X Window System and VAXstation 3100

             Leading expert system shell runs on all Digital computers

      PALO ALTO, CA., January 10, 1989, -- Neuron Data announced today that 
      its expert system shell, NEXPERT OBJECT, is now available on the newly
      announced DECstation 3100 and the VAXstation 3100 desktop workstations.
      In addition, NEXPERT supports the X Window System on both ULTRIX and
      VMS-based systems and can run on the DECstation 200/300 series of 
      personal computers under DOS and Microsoft WINDOWS.

             NEXPERT OBJECT is available across the entire line of Digital
     computers, and applications can be ported without modification from one
     machine to the next.  The NEXPERT OBJECT RUN TIME program (NORT), allows
     for the creation of character-based end-users interfaces that can be
     used across all DEC delivery environments.

             "NEXPERT OBJECT, which is a Digital Distributed Software Product,
     has consistently provided a complete AI solution to Digital customers,"
     said Neuron Data's Chairman, Patrick Peres.  He added, "Since NEXPERT is
     portable and compatible across all DEC platforms, it supports Digital's
     own connectivity strategy."

              Digital provides training and support for NEXPERT running on all
     DEC systems from VAX to personal computer.  NEXPERT OBJECT is available
     for development and delivery on Digital VAXstations and DECstations 
     under VMS and ULTRIX and DEC personal computers.  Delivery versions are

     is $8,000 for workstations and $5,000 for personal computers.
