| The following mostly involves US media, but may be of interest
because of the high level of attention from the press it indicates.

Subj: AAAI Press Activities
Of the 90 press representatives registered at AAAI, 37 attended Digital's
press briefing Tuesday morning. This represents a more than 40% response,
which is considered exceptional. An eight or ten perecent turnout is more
the norm.
(Attendee list forwarded separately)
More than a dozen one-hour, one-on-one interviews were conducted with
selected press, analysts and consultants. An additional seven press
representatives were walk-ins to the booth where they received the
press kit and a tour of the demo stations.
The press kit was mailed to another 287 media outlets which were not
represented at AAAI.
Four telephone interviews were conducted: U.S. News and World Report,
Computerworld, MIS Week and Computer Systems News.
Articles featuring Digital's AI messages have already appeared in Digital
Review, Digital News and InformationWeek. Articles are being prepared by
CIM Magazine(September issue), Computerworld(October issue), and A
Automation(December issue, 12 pages of typewritten copy).
Wendy Rauch-Hinden is writing a report on Digital's AI for the Yankee Group,
as well.
(Clips to follow separately, as available)
Five press representatives have expressed an interest in writing future
articles about Digital's AI and four consulting groups have asked to
schedule visits to the AITC in Marlboro.
Ketchum Public Relations is conducting the on-going media contact and will
work with me to schedule the follow-up articles and visits. I will continue
to monitor the results of all of the above activity and provide clippings of
further coverage as they arrive.
Regards,
Tom
