| Hello !
This looks like a battle of people with various skills
and opinions :-)
If the customer gets confused ask him to buy EarlyWatch Sessions from
SAP to finetune the system (one session is only 1.5k$ I think,
and because it is an iterative process you can talk them into buying a
4 sessioin package). If you have the cotnract number you can
make sure by phoning the Digital SAP competence center that one of our
Engineers actually delivers the service so that he really knows
what Digital Unix is.

| This customer has earlywatch, and several visits have been made. They
have never suggested raising any unix parameters, nor did they suggest
anything was wrong with using a 300mb SGA, while over 2gb of memory was
free on the system.
The customer thinks early watch is asleep.

406.8 | You'd probably do a better job than SAP earlywatch here ! | SXKITN::DAW | Pizzazz-man | Sun Feb 09 1997 13:41 | 5 |
| Was Digital or SAP doing the Earlywatch Ron ?
I think you'll find that SAP omit most h/w vendor specific tuning !

406.9 | should be fixed now | VNABRW::WINTERSPERGE | | Fri Feb 14 1997 15:57 | 15 |
| Hello !
The problem of non DUnix literal people doing Early Watchs on Digital
customers should be fixed now and the Digital SAP Competence Center
should get all 'our' customers.
If you get the EarlyWatch Contract Number that the customer bought
you can even contact the Digital Competence Center and talk with the
(Digital) Engineer thad does it (or make sure that one that you have
good experience with gets it !).
