Alan,

This morning 4th June I tried out the new speed ramps. Basically I
scrapped the bottom of my car including the silencer. I'm unhappy about driving
back over them and I want my car checked out at Ralph's (at digital's expense)
today as I feel the ramps could well have damaged my car.

Cheers....Norm Pettet

Norman,

Apologies for the severity of the new ramps, I am taking action
with the Contractor to reduce the hieght, hopefully today.
Meantime please arrange with Ralph Motors to inspect your car.

Alan Weston

Here's the mail that I sent to "Worried of Viables"

Alan,

I thought that when we got the new ramps, that all the old problems
would have been solved.

Now after having the suspension on my Nova damaged, resulting in
replacement of both rear shock absorbers, now the new ones are
so high that we risk scraping the underside of our vehicles. This
will result in further expense to those of us who use our own cars,
and company expense for those with fleet cars.

I hope the current design will be modified straight away, before
my Peugeot suffers.

Brian Adams.

Urgent - New Speed Ramps at entrance to Car Park

Apologies to those of you who may have encountered problems with
the new speed ramps which were installed over the week-end, it is
obvious that the Contractor has set them far too high.
Arrangements are in hand to have them reduced in hieght as
quickly as possible.

For those of you with private cars who think they may have
sustained damage as a result of going over the ramps, then please
contact Facilities.
For those of you with company cars then please follow normal
repair procedures.

Regards,

Alan Weston

The verdict on my Mini was that I scrapped the rear subframe, and
there appears to be no permanent damage.
