To stimulate input among the CSC centres around the globe, & to
prevent Valbonne stealing all the glory, should we make this
    notesfile accessible worldwide?

There are CSC centres now in Australia/Atlanta/Colorado/Finland/Holland
Germany........& others, so one would expect there to be a great
deal of info we could all gleam from other centres...come on vote
now don't let the French take all the credit...

    Richard,

I thought this conference was CSG_UK and not CSC_UK. They are two
different issues. I think that if we go world wide, it should be
on a CSC notes file, appliccable to support centre issues, whereas
the CSG file was originated purely for issues affecting our group
only. As an example, do Valbonne need to know that we are refurbing
our kitchen, or are our seating arrangements of interest to
    Australia.

By all means, let's have a CSC notes file for general issues affecting
the building as a support centre, but keep the CSG_UK file for
    items specific to our group.

    - Brian.

Do we WANT to share the level of "debate" in this conference with the rest of
the world?.....

I vote no. (FWIW)

CSG_SYSTEMS notesfile should stay just that....a notesfile for
    CSG Systems diagnosis.

     re: 36.1
I fail to see any "glory" in running a notes conference....
all it achieves is a reduction of disk space on the system that's
    hosting it.

Wow I'm overcome, I actually stimulated some inputs. I totally agree
that this conference is for our use & that issues in it are probably
of little or no concern to people in Australia, or anywhere else
    for that matter.

The reason I raised the issue is that I am getting membership requests
from far & wide, including people interested in our inputs, who
are working on a standard RDC console.

However, there are technical issues in the confrence as well as
the local issues, so why not let readers make their own decisions
on what they want to read, as with TV you can always switch off
    or, hit next unseen.

Besides, the issues that are local ie smoking, are of interest company
wide, surely, other issues perhaps less so, but thats what makes
    notes interesting to read.

Thanks for all your inputs. May I suggest we close this topic off
now, as the concensus favours we keep our own conference limited
    to ourselves.

There have been further requests for membership to this conference
from the US & Australia, but the moderators have agreed not to give
    further membership to outside parties.

To increase even better interchange of info within the building,
I thought it would be a good idea to allow other functions
in the building access to this notesfile. Currently we have
Comms, Devices, CCD, Systems, Office Systems & some TSC personnel
as members. With the increase in communication with TSC I have
mailed that group informing them of its existance.

It may prove useful for the likes of recent software info from
Dave Gledhill & Rob Hasking & other issues like "The Bugcheck Desk"
    discussion, notes 3 & 68.

I hope it will prove beneficial.

    Richard.

Schhh..........Someone might notice! Several people in Colorado now
have access to this notesfile after Ken mentioned it on his recent
trip,as do we in the CSC32 notes conference.
