424.0. "Want to print PS files from a PC?" by JOKUR::BOICE () Thu Mar 06 1997 11:22
There's a new PC-based freeware utility available to print PS files to any
available printer, local or network. Prior to this, the suggestion was to
use Acrobat Distiller to create the PDF file, and then view the PDF file
using Acrobat.
SMC people (in the office or at home) can use this utility by creating a:
Program Item (NT 3.51)
New --> Program Item
Select a name like PS Print
In the program box, type S:\software\Prfile\PrFile32.exe
You'll then see a new icon on your Program Manager. Double click
the icon, and PS Print will start. Drag a PS file onto the
application, choose a printer, and voila...
Desktop Shortcut (Windows 95 and NT 4.0)
Rightclick anywhere on the desktop.
New --> Desktop Item
In the Browse box, type S:\software\Prfile\PrFile32.exe
Select a name like PS Print, and press finish.
You'll then see an icon on your desktop, onto which you can drag and
drop PS files from your Explorer. Choose a printer, and voila...
