alphaserver 1000A 5/400 nt 3.51 1 rz28 1 rz29 1 zlxp-e1 video card When trying to install NT on the above system it fails with a blue screen stop C0000135 unable to locate dll the win32k.sys could not be found. We have the latest HAL from the web and the firmware, and the latest video driver, the rz28 has a 7mb partition as a FAT.This must be hardware but what specifically?

Have you tried to do a re-install of NT? The error indicates that win32k.sys could not be found. Have you check to see if this file is on the hard disk? Scott | |||||

this is a brand new install nothing was on the disk, we get the error
after the install says to reboot the machine.

Do you have another machine where you can examine the contents of the disk to see if win32k.sys is there? Also, you might want to check your SCSI setup and make sure the termination is correct. Scott | |||||

We did the 5/333, 5/400 qual under WNT V4.0. I suggest you to install
WNT 4.0 and AlphaBIOS 5.28.
It works for us in LES Qual.
