Hi,

I have tried to install OpenVMS V7.1 on AlphaServer 1000A 4/266 from CD.
However, the system always crash (Machine Check) before completing 10% of
the installation. (The console firmware is upgraded from CD V3.9)

The installation of OpenVMS V6.2-1H3 on the machine is fine. 

The system also crash when upgrading VMS from V6.2-1H3 to V7.1.

Any idea about the cause of problem ?

Is there anybody who has sucessfully install VMS 7.1 on 1000A 4/266 ?
(the system disk is RZ28M-VW, F/W 568)
