hello, good morning
we are getting calls here at the csc center on asrv1000a's running
Dunix ver4.0b that get warning message on boot
no FRU table entry found in _console-rpb
not creating a FRU table error log _packet
i think this is related to the fru_table console param?
should we be setting this to ON or OFF for:
asrv1000a with decevent V2.3 or newer?
asrv1000a without decevent or older version?
asrv1000 with decevent V2.3 or newer?
asrv1000 without decevent or older version?
if its set wrong will it not gather errlog info correctly for analysis?

1.1.3 FRU Table generation
Generation of the V4 FRU table in the HWRPB is now
supported. This is latent support for future DECevent
V2.3 or greater with up to date knowledge base, not yet
supported in UNIX V4.0B or VMS V7.1. A new non-volatile
environment variable, "FRU_TABLE" can be used to enable
["ON"] this feature [by default it is "OFF".] e.g. >>> set
fru_table ON

The as1000a supports building of a FRU table by using the
fru_table (on,off) environment variable. You can set the
fru_table on but you need AS1000a firmware off the 3.9CD
at a minimum. You also need the Decevent 2.4 kit at least
and you need Unix 4.0b also. Once you have all these items
you can build a valid fru table for the AS1000a.
