910.0. "What is DCI channel?" by EDSCLU::PORCARO () Fri Mar 28 1997 10:24

    Craig,

I have an IPMT from a customer with a PUT2 CT gateway.

It has been crashing about once a week recently.
The one crash I have has the CQ Interrupt routine
    bugchecking with CDB busy.

In order to proceed, I asked for IBM hardware/software in
use at the site. And the CT gens.
    I didn't get what I wanted... I got this.

    IBM hardware: 9021/640
IBM host is seen as a CU 3174.
    SW running:
    VTAM V3.4.1
CT is connected via "bus and tag" channel cable on a DCI channel.

Questions so I know how to proceed:

    What is a DCI channel??
Is VTAM V3.4.1 supported by IBM??

    Thank you,
    Bill

Bill,

> What is a DCI channel??

DCI stands for direct coupled interlock.

> Is VTAM V3.4.1 supported by IBM??
