    Hi,
I'm attempting to get dependent and independent outbound
allocations through IBMNT, LINKB, and IBMTST. I need this
from CICS41B, CICS41, and most importantly MVS0101. This does
not involve logmodes or mode names on the gateway side.
This requires definitions on the IBM side to allow the IBM
to route the attaches to the appropriate LU's.

Please define the LU's set asside for this purpose to
the required MVS and where not self installing, CICS regions.
I can't get a bind to flow from the mainframe to the adapter.
This afternoon is the latest time frame I would like confirmation
    that it's all set.

At the moment, my IBM gen is gating my Maple adapter testing.
    This is deadline week.

This is the HIGHEST priority action I have.

    Thanks,
    Cindi

| I need the 4 character sysid from the IBM side that translates
to the independent and dependent LU names for the CICS regions.

    Thanks,

The microsoft traces are not indicating the LU6.2 layer got anything.
Could we please track this down tommorow?

| Hi,
To clarify, I used cedf to run the program. This allows
you to modify the sysid field and insert a field other than
the default. It's cool because you don't have to recompile
or modify the program within the cics region to get to your
    desired connections.
When I say I tried both c0i0 and c1i0 as is listed in the last
note, I mean I ran the program trying both connection ids
    in the sysid field.
I had issued passive connects on the LU6.2 adapters on the
    vms side.
Microsoft tracing on the expected links didn't appear
to show ANY attemt to acquire bind the LU, or start the
    transaction.

So you tell me, does something else have to be done to
allow the connection id to receive the request from the list
    of names?

With the ST's and CT's, and even peer servers, I never
had to do anything BUT get the right sysid in CEDF and initiate
a passive request from the IBM.

Come on by, I'll show you what I mean.

    Thanks,
    Cindi

| Cindi used two logmodes XL620256 and XL6X4096. The CICS definitions have to match the logmodes on defined on her NT server. She was able to connect and allocate after the logmodes were changed on the CICS side. | |||||
