I have a request.

I need updated maintenance_ref.dat on JPTIMA::TIMA$SYSTEM: quickly after I
write change request on this NECSC::CDMT notesfile.

Who and how many people are the direct accessors for ALL_PRODUCTS.DAT on CMS
library?

How long does it take to do PROCESS: 1. 2. 3. 4. respectively?

Is it possible to reduce accumulated all process time to one or two days?
                                                         ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks in advance,
Kiyoshi
Hello Kiyoshi -
I wish to respond to your questions, but know that my reply will not be
the answers you would like.  Please be assured, however, that members of
the Technical Information Management team are indeed dedicated to
supporting TIMA applications including additions to ALL_PRODUCTS.DAT and
MAINTENANCE_REF.DAT.
In April 1996 many of the persons involved in TIMA file transfer
processes and new product introduction processes were TFSO'd.  Much of the
work was migrated to the remaining group, however this work was just a
portion of additional tasks that was absorbed by TIM (Technical Information
Management).  Given the complexity of TIMA applications and processes and
additional worldwide database management tasks, we are unable to commit to
you a one or two day turnaround on requests.  There are just a handful
of us left to provide worldwide TIMA and STARS database support.
We in TIM want to encourage you to continue making your requests via the
CDMT notesfile.  This mechanism provides the broadest audience of
capable database administrators to support your requests.  We are
currently reviewing your note 373 to fit these products into the NT and
Compaq database strategy.  Lynn Beckner will be contacting you in
regards to the Compaq entry you are requesting.  We are also addressing
existing problems with the transfer of Maintenance_ref.dat.
Thank you for your support.
