| Hi Rich,
I'm using ORCAD here in JGO (CSL, Nijmegen, Holland), for internal use
only. That is internal to be developed hardware. ORCAD is actual the
vendor name, which has more then just the schematic design tool. But I
have only ORCAD/SDT III (Schematic Design Tool).
It runs on a PC, it is rather cheap (approxm 1k$), first time users are
up and running using 80-90% of the features within one day use.
(it is hardware protected by a 'dongle')
A new version IV is out/coming soon (on order, but not yet received).
My guess is that it won't be possible to convert Valid to Orcad. Orcad is
however capable producing output in Postscript, however it requires
some (simple) modification of the .PS files to be able to print it on a
LPS40 in A3 size (=B size).
Also ORCAD is able to produce DXF format output files, which can be
imported by AUTOCAD.
Furthermore ORCAD is able to generate various formats of netlists, to
interface to PCB design packages.
The address of the company, as listed in the manual, is:
OrCAD Systems Corporation
1049 S.W. Baseline Street, Suite 500
Hillsboro, Oregon 97123
503-690-9722 (technical support)
503-690-9881 (sales)
If you want more info, please let me know,
Wim
